AbstractDu’aa (prayer), as a communication means between an individual and his/her God, usually requires using certain linguistic methods and techniques such as verbal synonyms, question, vocative, wish, and so forth. A suppliant person, for instance, in order to show his psychological state that passes in commonly employs oppositional semantic during his/her Du’aa. Hence, this has triggered the idea of this research which is entitled “The Oppositional Semantic Structures in Duas Imam al-Baqir and their effects on the Du’aa's Meaning”. The research aims to study the importance of the oppositional structures of Imam al-Baqir’s Duas that are written in the “Al-Sahifah Al-Baqiryah” book, along with explaining the effect of these structures on the semantics and context of Du’aa .
